House of Games

About this project

Playing a game together works even if you do not speak each other's language yet.

That is why Cultined and Volunteer in Morocco have organised House of Games every week since 28 December 2023, a games evening at the volunteer house in Tetouan. On the first evening, young people and volunteers came together to play games and get to know each other.

Over tea and tajine, young people from Tetouan and international volunteers play board and card games. Participants bring a game from their own country and explain the rules themselves. Where needed they adapt them, so that everyone can join in.

This makes playing together an easy way to share languages, habits and perspectives, and to make contacts that might otherwise not happen.

House of Games is now part of Cultined's international activities. International volunteers help prepare and lead the evenings.
