About Cultined

Not every young person starts with the same opportunities. Cultined creates opportunities to meet, learn, contribute and grow.

Stichting Cultined is a Dutch foundation, founded in 2008 and based in Almere. We empower young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, including minorities, women and persons with disabilities, through international volunteering, education and cultural exchange.

We do not treat young people as recipients of help, but as people with talents, ideas and responsibility. We work with partner organisations in the Netherlands, Morocco, Spain and other countries, and we grow with every group that takes part.

The CULTINED model

Our name is also our compass. Read together, the letters tell one story of growth: from seed to garden.

  1. Culture

    The seed

Culture is where people meet and build something together.

  2. Universal

    The soil

Everyone has the right to development, participation and dignity.

  3. Learning

    The roots

People grow by taking part and learning in practice.

  4. Talent

    The stem and buds

Talent blooms when people get the chance to contribute.

  5. Inclusion

    Photosynthesis

Growth needs active involvement, safety and equality.

  6. Network

    The ecosystem

Cooperation makes impact last beyond one person.

  7. Empowerment

    The plant in full bloom

People feel their effort matters and shape their own future.

  8. Diversity

    A garden of many plants

Differences are recognised, valued and seen as strength.

How we empower young people

Six ways young people grow with Cultined.

  • Online learning

Online courses, webinars and interactive sessions on personal development, intercultural learning and taking part in society. Young people meet across borders, wherever they are.

  • Skills you use straight away

Instead of diplomas we focus on skills you use right away, from public speaking to project management, in life, study and work.

  • Recognition

Every experience counts. Participants receive certificates, such as Youthpass, that show what they have learned and developed.

  • Learning abroad

International volunteering, youth exchanges and study visits, with the chance to turn what you learn into local action and new networks.

  • Ready for work

Coaching, mentoring and hands-on experience build the confidence and skills for your future work, especially in education, social work and community leadership.

  • Giving back

All our activities are about contributing. Locally or abroad, young people make a difference through community projects, youth activism and inclusive initiatives.

Grow with Cultined

Taking part can be a first step. Some people come back to help, take on more responsibility and later lead activities.

What each step involves

  1. Discover
  2. Take part
  3. Help in the team
  4. Lead an area
  5. Coordinate an activity
  6. Lead a project
